Cresswell is delighted to sponsor a young rising star in biking for the 2015 season. Tom Grimshaw who lives in St Albans, Hertfordshire was brought up around dirt bikes with his Granddad, Dad and Uncle who were all racers. Learning the ropes from the age of eight,Tom who is now thirteen, won the Kensworth club championship in his first full season of racing in 2010.

Since then the young talented lad has gone from strength to strength winning numerous titles year after year, including the prestigious Master Kids held in Commercy Mid France in 2014. After three days of racing, Tom managed to win the main final to become U14 85cc Champion. The final race of the season was the famous Weston Super Mare Beach race which Tom won to cap off a good year.

Now being a youth academy Red Bull athlete, Tom’s dedication and passion for the sport continues and he has currently started back training in preparation for 2015 season which involves him going to the gym three times a week working on his cardio fitness. Weekends are spent riding his bike and trying to develop different elements of his riding, often travelling to France & Holland to ride over the winter months as they have better all-weather tracks. Next year, he plans to take part in the ACU British Youth (tbc), European Championship, Dutch National Championship and World Championship and is well supported in the industry and features regularly in magazines, newspapers and Youtube films. As part of its sponsorship, Cresswell will assist with Tom’s travel and maintenance costs and the company logo will appear on his bike. Tom says, “I am delighted that Cresswell has come on board as a sponsor and with its help and assistance I can continue entering competitions so I am extremely grateful and will work hard to keep my dreams alive.”
